Delight

I read this book earlier in the year by Ross Gay called the Book of Delights. His objective was to not just celebrate the good big moments but to take stock of the tiny moments thay bring a smile to your face , bring you comfort, bring about a sense of delight. This could be a kid walking hand in hand with his mom, a couple cuddled into one another at the park, a little dog with pep her step.

As its been so hard to feel anything these past few months, I am making the choice to still actively seek out delights. Today's delight is the Coney Island boardwalk and dearest Bailey's steps on the ground . It is Ethel Cain's Preacher's Daughter, the bridge in About You by the 1975, and ten minutes of pure uninterrupted meditation.
